Building for the Future

Despite the ban on air travel, due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland, coinciding with the opening days of Bauma 2010, the World’s largest construction exhibition was as impressive as ever. With 555,000 m2 of exhibitor space and a total of 415,000 visitors from 200 countries, the positive mood at the fair definitely displayed a more confident construction industry.

For the first time, Combisafe had a stand in the outside area. A temporary, mobile UBIX® Roof was built over 520 m2 to house the largest stand Combisafe has ever had. Showing the complete range of Combisafe Systems on life-size modules, the stand allowed staff to demonstrate, and visitors to test the products.

Combisafe also took the opportunity at Bauma to launch 6 new products – the SMB Stair, MMB, Scaffstep, New Filigree Attachment, Containment, and the UBIX® Roof. Live demonstrations of the CLS/Alsipercha, Containment, Miller and the SMB were ongoing throughout the day. However, the most eye-catching feature was the UBIX® Roof itself, comprising of an outer roof, and an inner roof on tracks. The inner roof could be easily extended and retracted by a single person, allowing sun or shade in the stand.

Although the main concentration of visitors came from mainland Europe, 400 leads were recorded from 35 different countries.

We would like to thank all our customers who visited our stand at Bauma.
