Deutsche Wetterdienst

The new Deutsche Wetterdienst is being erected on a 21,000m² site in Offenbach. At a construction cost of 72 million euros, the building’s 6,200m² ground area will be embedded in a park-like landscape; the actual construction will take into consideration the valuable trees on the property.
The new building will have a utilisable space of 22,000m², which will house about 900 employees from the Administration, Research, Weather Forecasting, the Computer Centre and the Deutsche Meteorologische Bibliothek.
